Topics For Cause and Effect Essay
Topics For Cause and Effect EssayWhen it comes to writing a cause and effect essay, I'm going to give you the exact steps on how to write one. This article is written assuming that you are aware of a little known concept that people are often unaware of when it comes to writing a great essay.Cause and effect are actually a very simple idea. The more common definition of cause is 'to set in motion'. It's also more commonly defined as 'the action or process through which a particular thing results in a particular effect.'The effect will vary depending on the situation and what you're trying to prove. If you are attempting to show that people change due to a specific situation, then your effect may be observed by the person that the event occurred to. But, if you are trying to show that a cause produces an effect, then it may be observed by the person that the effect was produced by. And finally, if you are trying to show that a cause produces an effect, then the effect produced by the cause may be observed by the person that caused the effect. Now, let's get into some easy examples. Here are some topics for cause and effect essay:'There was a story about a professional athlete that started from a train accident where he received minor injuries to his head. After his concussions cleared up, he returned to the field. After being taken out of the game for a time, he continued to dominate. He has since been recognized as one of the greatest players in NFL history.''There was a news story where a TV show was canceled. A season two episodes had been aired. After six years of lackluster ratings, the network decided to cancel the show. However, several weeks later, when viewership numbers were tabulated, the show was still doing extremely well, despite being canceled. Because of this, it is hypothesized that the ratings have declined due to the show, but the ratings may have fallen because the show had decreased its production.'So now we have a very simple example to expl ain cause and effect. The most important thing to remember when it comes to writing a topic for effect essay is that the focus should always be on the details. By the time the reader finishes reading the first paragraph, they will already know the basic idea of what the essay is about. Don't get into the details in the beginning; let the reader know why the topic is important.A simple example would be: A news story about someone's broken toe could be used as a topic for effect. The main theme of the topic is an injury, but the fact that the person got hurt is what will make the reader understand that the subject of the article is an effect. This doesn't mean that you should just toss in an accident of some sort into your topic for effect essay, but it does mean that you should show the effects of what you're discussing, rather than the cause of the effects.

Art imitates life warhol marilyn and a whiter shade of pale essays
Art imitates life warhol marilyn and a whiter shade of pale essays Art imitates life. Whenever life changes art adapts to the changes and is reflective of its origin in time. We learned this when we discussed Freud, Einstein and Nicci coming onto the scene. As they introduced new theories and new ideas we were introduced to new art forms like Dadaism and Surrealism. In 1967 America was going through some changes. Baby Boomers are turning into hippies and everyone is heading out to San Francisco because its the place to be. College enrollments have doubled since 1960 So its clear this genration wants higher learning. Films like The Graduate express this generations' uneasiness with the idea of growing up and accepting responsibility. Television devotes more broadcast time to the Vietnam war and this generation is divided between those who support the war and those who oppose it. Its like a social revolution in America. 1967 was also a great year for Andy Warhol. He had produced the work that this essay is based on. It was a work called Marilyn Monroe. It was a screenprint on paper thirty-six inches long by thirty-six inches wide. It is very disturbing looking because it doesnt really have any likeness to Marilyn Monroe. Its her face and her features traced but none of the colors are like they should be. The lips, eyebrows, eyelashes and hair are red. Her skin is green and her hair is a weird yellow. He was born Andrew Warhola in 1928. The day he was born hasn't been proved, but it was on this date, the sixth of august, he would celebrate his birthday. However, there is no doubt that he died at 6:31 A.M. on Sunday, February 22nd, 1987, at the New York Hospital after a gallbladder operation. Warhol was a founder and major figure of the pop art movement. A graduate of the Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1949, he moved to New York City and gained success as a commercial artist. He got his first break in August 1949, when Glamour Magazine wanted him to illu...

Woodlice Lab Report Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Woodlice - Lab Report Example They have a shell like exoskeleton which progressively shed as they grow. The shedding occurs in two stages were the back half sheds first followed by the front part later usually after two to three days later as opposed to the way moulting process occurs to other antropoda where the cuticle are shed in a single process. Metabolic rate is temperature dependent in woodlice which is in contrast to mammals and bird where their rate of respiration depends directly to the external environmental temperatures (Jordan 100). Woodlice are claimed to have unpleasant taste like that of a urine despite been a crustacean which is different from the taste of other crustacean like lobsters or crabs. Woodlice breathe through their plepodal lungs and live in terrestrial environment usually damp or dark places to reduce the rapid rate at which they lose water through their cuticle and excretion (Sutton, Stephen, Paul, and David 67). Although woodlice are preyed by a wide range of insectivores itââ¬â ¢s the spiders that prey on them exclusively. This experiment was conducted to determine the relationship between the variation of traits and the natural selection and the hypothesis of this experiment was that the predator preying on the woodlice determine the speed of woodlice to be found in an environment (Smith, SiaÃân 98). The length and dorsal plate in all woodlice was measured using a microscope and recorded. The speed of three woodlice was obtained by taking two rulers to measure the distance and then assorted utensils for simulating predation and to mimic a predator was simulated and the timer was set from the time all the three woodlice started moving until they all reach the end of the two rulers and then recorded in seconds. Woodlice where placed in large specimen dishes and the predator for this experiment which was a spider was simulated RESULTS The woodlice traits were varying as like were the highest standard deviation error was obtained from the speed and the lowest standard deviation error was obtained from the length while the standard deviation error was zero as illustrated in table(1) below Trait Dorsal plate number Speed (seconds/10 cm) Length (cm) Color (values using soil color chart) Mean 7 21.20833333 0.991666667 5.083333333 Standard Deviation 0 +10.29131828 +0.21450989 +1.248187091 Standard Deviation Error 0 +2.100706547 +0.043786648 +0.254785123 Table (1) showing traits, mean, standard deviation and standard deviation error of woodlice In the frequency distribution below blue represents the total number of woodlice while the red represent the number of woodlice that survived after the predator was unleashed. From the graph the number of survived population is higher than the total populati on between the speeds of 1-20 and the same is exhibited between the speeds of 21-40 and between the speeds of 61-80 but between the speeds of 41-60 no woodlice survived. Frequency distribution of woodlice characterized by speed DISCUSSION From the table and the frequency distribution above it is clearly that there is a relationship between the population of woodlice that survived the experiment and their speed. Woodlice that were much fast and those that are somehow slower survived more compared to those that were of average speed as none of them survived and also the predator

Legal terminology Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Legal terminology - Essay Example Especially bad were the members of a gang called ââ¬Å"The Big Bad Wolves,â⬠each individual member known as a ââ¬Å"Wolf.â⬠So Red felt it was very foreseeable for trouble to come her way. One member of the Wolves used deceit to set up a scenario where he could trick Red out of her money. On that occasion this Wolf told Red that his mother was ill in another state and he needed money to go see her. However, Red knew the Wolfââ¬â¢s background and knew his mother was dead. Therefore, this amounted to fraud. Red thought such people were just mean per se, inter alia. Another Wolf once falsely claimed he was a police officer and tried to handcuff and block Redââ¬â¢s way in the forest. This amounted to the torts of false arrest and false imprisonment. Worse, yet, this tortfeasor Wolf later claimed in a letter to a newspaper and to all who would listen that it was Red who impersonated a police officer and not the other way around as was the truth. Red knew the letter was libel and the oral statements slander. This same lowlife Wolf once tried to sue a doctor for malpractice who stopped to help him when he was injured. Luckily, the Good Samaritan Statute protected the doctor and the lowlife Wolf lost that lawsuit. While these are not willful torts like battery, this was pretty bad behavior on the part of this Wolf fellow and it was prudent of Red to be cautious. So, Red finally reached her grandmaââ¬â¢s house. Inside, however, were three Wolves surrounding grandma and her servant Millie. Millie helped grandma with her chores such as laundry and shopping. The three Wolves were up to no good. One Wolf was on his I-Pod conjuring up scams which amounted to a cybertort. Another Wolf was lighting up firecrackers and throwing them out the window. This constituted a nuisance to grandmaââ¬â¢s neighbors. The third Wolf held a large tree log over grandma and kept saying he was going to beat her with it. This amounted to an assault. Thereafter, grandma and Red
